Here's a pic of the old Murray Dude Wagon that I cherished as a kid in the early 1960s in its current sad state. It got handed down to cousins who rode it pretty rough and then it spent many years on my sister's back deck. I'm in the process of doing a quick & dirty restoration so another kid in the family can enjoy it again. In the photo above I've removed the rear axle assembly to rebuild it with a few parts from Speedway. It's currently at the local media blaster getting some glass bead love. My first question is, how are these front wheel bearings removed and replaced? Sure, I could hack them apart and remove them, but I'm looking for definitive info on how they can be serviced. If they can't then I'll leave them alone, clean them with solvent & compressed air, and grease them up good. But I can hear a couple of the balls that have escaped into the interstitial space of one of the wheels and I'd really like to fix that problem long term. Arrow pointing at 2 of the ball bearings to show where the inner and outer bearing parts are: Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Very cool pedal car - It looks like the sleeve in the middle was swedged to hold the bearings in place. I would just try to pry the sleeve just enough to slide the balls back in then use a press or hammer lol to tighten it all back up. Can you drill a hole in the rim somewhere to get the bearings back out?
